Royal Gorge Colorado-place to park trailer when visiting?

We plan to travel through Canon City on the way to Buena Vista next summer and would like to visit the Royal Gorge, but don't plan to camp nearby. Is there ample parking for a TT for a couple of hours visit as we pass through?

    This from their website :

There is plenty of free parking available at the Park. You’ll find two large paved lots on the north side of the Bridge. All oversized vehicles including RVs and campers also park free and will be directed to Upper Parking Lot B. Handicap accessible parking is available on the north side of the Park near the Visitor Center. There is no hot air balloon parking at this time.
  • FYI the road in is quite curvy. Keep your speed down as you may need to cross the center line (depending on trailer length) to keep the trailer on the road. Very doable just wanted you to know. Have a look at Google maps aerial view it will give you an idea of where you will be headed to the second lot.

Another place to visit in Colorado is Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It's just a little further west on 50.

  • We came through that area about a month ago...in our car though on the way to Leadville. After the Royal Gorge we turned right just a little ways...that road had deer that was crossing at several areas.

Thanks. Yes, it's pretty impressive, but not this trip.
