Hi! We are new to the RV world having just purchased a 40ft 5th wheel. We are traveling to northern Ca near Oroville/Chico/Paradise area for work. We are in need of a nice, quiet, pet friendly location that can accommodate a long term stay ( approx 7 months ). Most of the places I have looked at are also connected to mobil home parks and have very sketchy reviews. There are also a number of places that do not have websites or much info with them so its hard to tell what they are like. Does anyone have any recommendations from good experiences in the area? My boyfriend will be working at Rock Creek Hydro Plant near Oroville/ Paradise area. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. Feeling a little discouraged with the reviews I am seeing. I will check out craigslist as was suggested......still hoping for something good to turn up!

Look up Quail Trails RV Park in Paradise. www.quailtrailsvillage.com. They are located just outside of Paradise. From their photos, their sites look nice and clean. They are also a mobile home park. One thing you should know, is that you can have snow in the winter there although it looks like for the most part they are below the snow line. I can't vouch for them as I have never stayed there. We use to stat at the Almond Tree in Chico before we moved up here. It is a nice clean park, but I do believe that they are limited to the 14 days previously mentioned, but it doesn't hurt to call them.

Depending on where you will be working, it is about a 20 to 30 minute commute from Paradise to Chico. Good luck,

We tried to find a long term campground in Chico and could not find any. We did not want to be in a run down mobile home park. Almond Tree in town will only let you stay 2 weeks, they do not want permanents in these parks anymore.

Try Chico craigslist and maybe someone will have a lot with hookups listed.

Good Luck.
