RV camping around Woodbridge, Va

Anyone stayed at Bull Run Regional Park, Pohick Bay Regional Park, Prince William Forest RV Campground, or Aquia Pines Camp Resort in the last year that would like to share information? Our son and his family are moving to Woodbridge, Va and we need a place to stay with our RV while visiting. Thanks for the help. Tried RVparkreviews.com and got some facts, but would appreciate other personal opinions as well.
  • Thanks for all the info. We reserved at Prince William Forest - closest to where we need to be!
  • Didn't think a regional park would have a gate, but just called Pohick to confirm. There are no gates. Staff person said "come in as late as you want".

    Anyway, phone is (703)339-6104.

Have fun in Woodbridge. You'll be close to Occoquan -an artsy little town on the river. Fun to walk around and look in the galleries and shops.
  • Question about Pohick Bay - we travel at night. If we have a reservation at Pohick is there any problem coming into the park after hours? Any gates that get closed at night?
  • Pohick Bay is very nice. Shady, level sites, not too close together. Lots of recreation activities: water park, golf, disc golf, miniature golf, boat rentals. Quiet, but not that far from Route 1. Pretty close to Woodbridge, too. Should be easy to get around.
  • Prince William is fine. Some sites or sort of just on the parking lot with hook ups. The 50 amp full hook up sites are more traditional with some grass.
Decent place very central to Woodbridge. Not a rural place more of a campground in the middle of Suburbia.
Pohick Bay is also decent. More of a state park setting. A liitle further north than Prince William. I have stayed at both and would do it again without hesitation.

Travel Trailer Village is now Prince Wiliam Forest Campground. Haven't been there yet but it is closer to Woodbridge.

Ditto, I live about 3 miles from Bull Run and we stayed at Prince William back in 85 when we first got to the area and were waiting to close on our S&B home. Best bet is Prince William if your business is in the Woodbridge area.

Have stayed at the TRAVEL TRAILER VILLAGE off of 236 Dumfries Road a couple of times. Plenty of shade and hookups.... They had full hookups and FREE WIFI when we was there... It also had CABLE HOOKUPS - This was a couple of years back... I noticed one of the reviews said they didn't have CABLE TV HOOKUPs??? You should be close enough to the Washington DC Digital CLEAR TV signals picking them up with your OTA BATWING Antenna.

The staff were very nice folks...

Great access to anywhere from there being right near the I95 interchange...

Put RV CAMP GROUNDS in your GOOGLE SEARCH and you can several RV places close by...
