RV'ers logic
We are in a state recreation CG in Haines, Alaska for a few nights. It is dry camping. No water, no sewer available at all. No cellphone service. The rate is $10/PN. All sites are great. There are a few lakeside which have a view which reminds me of the View at Lake Louise. Spectacular.
It is a 10 mile drive up the fijord past Haines so one burns a fair amount of fuel to get there & back to Haines.
Watched a guy in an oldish gasser MOHO come through last night. Didn't stay. Did the tour of the loops, which were virtually empty, & out he went. Presumably because there is no power or cellphone service he did not take a site.
This guy burned at least 3 gal of gas ($4gal around here) for nothing then went back to Haines where the 2 'cram them in' cold waterside CGs & third roadside in town CG are something like $40 PN.
So, this guy Spends $40 for the CG plus the extra $16 in gas when he could have spent $10 plus burned a little propane to keep warm & run his genny for his microwave & been in one of the most beautiful CGs around.
I'll bet he moans about the price of his Alaska trip.
RVers actions sometimes defy logic.
