We stayed at Pillar Point RV Park, Great host, friendly, and convenient location for SF to SJ visits. It's set up for MHs and TTs tight and cozyโ€ฆ..not for tent camping.

We enjoyed the Petuluma KOA. If you drive in, just remember the toll going south over the Golden Gate Bridge.

x2, maybe 30 minutes north of SF. Nice place. We like the state beach campground in Half Moon Bay too.

Wish you guys would stop telling people about Marin Park RV. After trying/driving thru all the aforementioned parks, it is our choice. If everybody keeps recommending it . . .
Sure hope that rate increase is just for the summer. And most definitely, park the car. Walk to the ferry. Watch 'Dirty Harry' first. You'll walk by a bridge you'll recognize.

Which park in Half Moon Bay?
I have always wanted to camp there.

Couple years ago we had a nice stay at a RV park in Half Moon Bay. Would definitely
return to this park.

I go to SF Giant games a couple of times a year. I stay at Tradewinds RV park in Vallejo and drive a few minutes down to the Ferry to SF. Not much of a park, but it has always served me well, with no problems.

We stayed at the Petaluma KOA too, LOVED it!! We also took the city tour and John was our tour guide as well. He's OUTSTANDING!!!

That was two years ago this September, very fun trip. Nicest KOA we've ever been in.

Napa Valley Expo is a nice one to stay. Then drive your car to the Larkspur Ferry Landing on the north side of the bay and it will take you right into the city. When you get off you can get on the pre-arranged small van tour which is an awesome way to see the city and a pleasant ferry ride past Alcatraz. Even our daughter who lives in the city was impressed with the city tour.

We've also stayed at the Santa Rose fairgrounds for an easy drive in. It's a LOT cheaper than $75/night at other parks. We'd never pay that for a campsite.

We just stayed at the Marin RV Park in July 2015. Would stay here again but it is not fancy. We only slept and showered at the site.....But, they just and I mean JUST raised their rates to $100 per night. Good Sam and AAA do get a 10% discount!!!

OK, if you want pool and all, San Francisco RV RESORT is the place. We stayed there in 87 when it was nothing but a parking lot with showers. My, how times have changed. We still preferred Marin Park, no stress with traffic, nice boat ride past Alcatraz into the city.
