Maybe I should restate the question. This was posted by my 19 year old granddaughter last night. She wants to visit the Monterrey Bay area. I suggested we take the 5th wheel, to save on costs. It's just four hours from my home in Rescue California. She knows she wants to visit the aquarium, Carmel and the Wharf. Beyond that, she's unsure. We will probably bring a female friend of hers also.
So the question remains - are you looking for dry camping options (assumed by the chosen sub forum) or actual "RV park" type accommodation (possible interpretation of the thread title)? - 2oldmanExplorer IIIf this is about an RV park the moderator should be moving it.

I don't think the OP will be scared off.
Lol. No, the squabbling isn't directed to me, so I can ignore it. Hopefully the post gets back on track and the moderator does a little weeding out. - jdc1Explorer IIMaybe I should restate the question. This was posted by my 19 year old granddaughter last night. What places would be the best to stay for RV parking from june 8th through the 13th?
Down load the "Good Sam RV Parks" application or buy the
Book at Camping world or any good store.
:S That was beyond desultory,I think the OP was asking for some personal recommendations not a flip useless answer. No wonder new members are turned off and never come back. And from a senior member no less. - RoyFExplorerWe stayed at Moss Landing KOA 10 miles north of Monterey. It was an easy drive to Monterey on Hwy 1.

I don't think the OP will be scared off. - flifisherExplorerMarina Dunes RV Park is a little pricey, but it's a short walk over the dunes to the beach and about 8 miles to Monterey on Hwy 1. Laguna Seca Recreation Area is OK, 16% grade on main road for the first half mile, no sewer hookups and about 8 miles to Monterey on Hwy 68.
- LwiddisExplorer IISteve, biggest challenge for larger boys is the last turn into the park. Why put a traffic island there?
