We stayed at Moss Landing KOA 10 miles north of Monterey. It was an easy drive to Monterey on Hwy 1.

Marina Dunes RV Park is a little pricey, but it's a short walk over the dunes to the beach and about 8 miles to Monterey on Hwy 1. Laguna Seca Recreation Area is OK, 16% grade on main road for the first half mile, no sewer hookups and about 8 miles to Monterey on Hwy 68.

Steve, biggest challenge for larger boys is the last turn into the park. Why put a traffic island there?
