Yes, south of I-4 the rates jump up. I don't think we paid that much when we stayed there 3 years ago, but the pool and clubhouse weren't finished and the back half was under construction.

We like a park just south of there called Royal Coachman in Nokomis, FL. It's a beautiful little park. But from talking to them, it's 100% full-up in Jan-Mar.

Difficult to get winter reservations now but there might be a cancellation. Sarasota Sunny South 2100 Doud St. Small, friendly, convenient, quiet and clean. Big rig friendly. Pets welcome. No kids. Turtle Beach right on the water. Very small. Not big rig friendly. 31' or less. No pets. Sun N Fun. Huge. Lots of activities. Noisy.

We go to Long Boat Key (basically Sarasota) but (literally) hide our RV and rent a 1940’s one bedroom cottage on the beach for two months. You are a bit late to get s couple of months anywhere in Florida unless you’re willing to move around.
