Well, prepare yourself it's a bit of a dump! Okay, it's more than a "bit"... I've stayed there 6 or 8 times in the past years and I've heard myself say, "I'll never lower my standards to come to this dump again" But, looking at what else is in the area and I not there for the camping experience (my family lives in the area), it's not that bad. The place is well kept (sort of), the restroom are clean, there is no sewer for the transients, but the has water, power and cable and plenty of room at the sites... Well, most of them, but be sure to stress how big you are. I have a 38' travel trailer and I've always have more than enough room. If you're looking for 5 star resorts you'd better not come to VT, there aren't any.
You'll be close to all the area attractions... Don't miss visiting Shelburne Farms, you'll really be impressed with that place. Also take it from an Old Vermonter grab a picnic lunch a go to Mt. Philo State Park. Bring your chairs and do lunch while over looking the Champlain Valley. It's an absolutely a must do! Its just down the road (Rt 7) from Shelburne.
