Looking for a good campground in the area of Sikeston MO. Coming down from Cape Cod MA. for a week to see my son and daughter in-law who are on leave from the Army. I've been looking at one, Hinton RV park. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

DW and I lived in Sikeston way back in the early 70's when we were first married and our daughter was a baby. I worked at the long defunct Big K department store chain there as Associate Manager. I hadn't seen Sikeston mentioned anywhere on RV.NET. Good to know it's still there.

If you would prefer a public campground there is a Corp campground at Lake Wappapello about 55 miles from Sikeston that is really nice. We stayed there in April and had full hookup, including sewer. It is People's Creek Campground.

If you are like me, I much prefer a public campground to a private campground.

Here is a link.

read the reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com We stayed at Town n Country. If you can get checked in with the smoke filled office, you're OK. Not a bad park.

Hinton is an excellent park. I have stayed there and will return. As a side note, Lamberts Restaurant, aka "throw the roll" has a limousine service courtesy car that picks you up at the RV park and transports you to their restaurant. No charge, but a tip is appreciated. Excellent restaurant, food, pricing and unique atmosphere. I recommend the RV park and restaurant.

We stay at Hintons. There is good fuel stop, and is down the street from the home of the throwd rolls.

Hinton is close to the interstate. Town and Counry a bit farther down the same road.
