Its been a long time since I have been to Yosemite and would like to camp with my 32 fifth wheel in the valley early next summer. Does anyone have any good suggestions on which campground and specific spots that would be good to reserve.

Upper or Lower Pines on the valley floor. Yosemite

As for which site they are so busy you will pretty much have to take what they give you.

We love Yosemite, but have all but given up on RV Camping in the valley floor. Rather we camp at Wawona CG. There are several sites in that CG that will accommodate your length. We prefer the sites parallel to the river.

We stay at the KOA in Mariposa and use the toad to tour Yosemite. Make a reservation now and have a great trip.

All I can say is Good Luck getting a reservation Anywhere in the valley, sites go within seconds the minute reservation period opens,I was clicking the "Book This Site" button 5 min before sites became available, and still didn't get a site, one click at exactly 7:00 AM and all sites were gone, :h all I can think of is that everyone in the world had a faster server than i did.

I like Upper Pines, and you can select a site online regarding the length you need.

I have camped Yosemite for decades and would take almost any site to be there.

Lower Pines, site 39 is large enough and has the best view of Half Dome of any valley campsite. If you can get it! Generally it's so hard to get a reservation in the valley, you're lucky to score any site at all. But I was able to reserve one night in that site and a second night in North Pines, just a week or so before my July departure, by going back to the reservation site frequently to see if anything had opened up. People do cancel their sites from time to time, and you just need lucky timing.
