Sunrise resorts?

This group doesn't have a lot of info on their website. What does membership "give" you at various levels? Deluxe vs Classic etc. How many nights? Able to get in to where you want? How much are the dues? It looks like they now rent to outsiders like KM. Has this been an issue? What is the point of gates when anyone can pay for access (not just limited to Sunrise). Is there a mileage limitation, or are you able to use any of the parks when you join? If there is a mileage exclusion, is it from your home, or from the home park? Crow flies or roads? Thanks!
  • We have been Sunrise members for several years now and are very satisfied. We have memberships in two other camping systems but overall we like Sunrise the best. Ours is a gold membership which allows us 14 nights in then we have to be out for 7. As members there are no mileage restrictions on any Sunrise park. Our cost is $1 a night and our dues are frozen at $259 but I believe now dues are around $360 for new members. We just returned yesterday from 4 nights at Copalis Beach and 3 nights at Eagles Nest in Ilwaco. Even though this is probably peak time at the beach we had no problem getting sites and neither park was full. We did make reservations though. We also spend a lot of time at their park in Bullhead City AZ. and have never had any problems getting in there either. Although I am not in favor of renting out to the public it seems like a necessary evil in order to keep member dues affordable and pay for upkeep in the parks. So far I have not seen or heard of any problems in the parks and we feel safe there.
