Texas parks for people with pets?

We are thinking of Corpus Christie area but want to hear opinions. We prefer our weather 60-80 days and friendly people and dog park are very important. We have a large motorhome and are bringing our car for day trips but would like the rig in one decent reasonably priced park for three months or so. Would love love love to be in a city near animal rescues, bird watching, anything like that for visiting and volunteering. Thanks!
  • We stay at Majestic Oak, they are dog friendly and will soon be adding a "dog park". Located midway between Rockport and Aransas Pass on business 35 and Tx-188. May be what you are looking for.
  • Nearly 500 Parks in the Rio Grande Valley, most are pet friendly and many have dog parks. Warmer than the others mentioned.
  • thanks! Please keep suggestions rolling.
Husband and I are going to visit Utah to see Best Friends!! I can't wait! But in the winter, Utah is probably too cold for a long stay. But I would never miss a chance to see Best Friends rescue!!
  • Rockport! Plenty of RV Parks, city is rebounding after hurricane harvey! The bays are awesome and 40 minutes from the Port-A beach island!

Forget Corpus and go to Kanab, Utah instead. :) This is the ultimate rescue facility in a beautiful area and it even has a few RV spaces. It also loves volunteers!!

  • Rockport had a nice dog park a few years ago before the hurricane. Not sure now.
