Thousand Island National Park, Ontario

Question

Thinking about trips for next summer, looking for campground recommendations at Thousand Island NP. We would like to spend a few days kayaking the St Lawrence River area and maybe some biking. Is three days enough? any must see things that you would recommend.

You have several NYS Parks in/around the Alex Bay NY area along w/ a new CG called Swan Bay right off I-81 (Alex Bay exit). Rte 12 is a road you can bike on.  Tour of 1,000 islands as well as both Bolt &amp; Singer castles. Can rent boats or charter one to go fishing. Thousand Islands (TI for short) bridge is just after exit for Alex Bay. Worth the cost just to drive over to Wellsley Island/Canada and back just for the view. Day trip perhaps to Massena to see the locks and hydro plants and museum I think.
