Topsail Preserve Florida - live report

Steady rain since last nite. Ankle deep water in most of the roads. Our site is doing pretty well. Some sites have an inch of standing water. We are in palm circle loop.

Same thing here at Camp Gulf, about 4 miles away from you.The resort lake (pond) has overflowed again big time and this is getting old! Two weeks ago we had the big 20 inch rain and it got scary.

I was there during the April 29-30, 2014 -22 inches of rain. From what the locals said, this was an all time high in rainfall. Here is what Topsail 100 loop looked like the morning of the 30th. I was standing in knee deep water next to site #122. It went down fairly fast in the campground but the surrounding areas still had water standing over a week later.

We suffered an entire week of rain last year in Florida. Nothing you can do about the weather, enjoy your time camping.

Florida, give it a few minutes the weather will change. Your living the good life..Topsail has great beaches with sugar sand. enjoy it

It goes away quickly as the ground there is all sand. Hopefully the rain will stop and then you'll be set in a few hours...
