Ah. The Covered Bridge Festival. Has nothing to do with covered bridges as it is just a big junk sale. People love it though. Let's face it, there is not much to do in that part of Indiana. We go every year with SIL if we are in the area. She loves it and I am ready to leave after 10 minutes.
LOL...I can see how some would feel that way. Fact is, there are several routes starting and ending in Rockville, each of them heading in a different area of the county and highlighting the covered bridges. DW and I love exploring on and off these routes, through the countryside. All usually have beautiful fall colors displayed. Larger areas of crafts, food, flea markets, etc. (jnharley's "junk sales") are in Rockville, Mansfield, and Bridgeton, with many other communities participating on a smaller scale. Great way to spend a few days, if you like that sort of thing. If not, it might look like a junk sale! :D
