We just spent the winter as camp hosts at Jennings Ferry COE campground outside Eutah, AL. and would recommend it to anyone. There is a campground at Moundville, small, water and electric, but very reasonable price. It is more suitable for small campers and popups. Jennings Ferry is about 30 miles from Tuscaloosa, easy to get into, and reasonable at only $22 per night. 50A electric and water at each site, many sites back up to the water. Gated, and the gates are locked at 10:00 each night and open at 6:00 each morning. Bait shop and good resturant outside the gate. there are several pull-through sites, and all can handle regs up to 50'. Only problem is the COE staff itself, to which campgrounds are NOT a primary objective. The campground is actually run and maintained by dedicated volunteers, spending their own time and money to make it a very nice place to stay. OH, and BTW, for a weekend stay, you might want to check Reserve America for availability, but the best thing is to call the camp host at the campground gate. Don't bother calling the COE, they don't have any idea.
