Twin Lakes COE Pendleton SC October camping

I did a search for this park but came up empty. There are a few postings about it but not many. Does anyone have any ideas as to which campsites may be the best for 3 nights? We will be leaving the Atlanta area and heading up to Gaffney, SC and need a spot for Sunday-Tuesday nights. Looking for W/E as we know that most Army COE do not have sewage hookups.
Thanks!

If you click on the 33, you will see an actual picture of the site.

Thanks to all who have responded. We started not to make reservations and just show up hoping to get either a walk in site or else other choices. But we went with our gut feeling and reserved Site 33. We are hoping it will meet or exceed our expectations.
We are currently at McKinney Campground an Army COE park on Allatoona Lake in GA. The campground is beautiful and all sites are filled on weekends.
Again, thanks!

We have stayed there many times. 26 is short, but class A's have no problem, 27 is bigger, 28 is a pull through, but not the best view of the lake. Skip around to 39. This is a very private site. 47-51 are good sites. I hope this helps. Don't care for the other loop. Too crowded.

OOPS, wrong site, sorry.

Maybe I should have put the link in my original posting. This is the place I am talking about.

I was inadvertently looking at the day use area ... mea culpa

Oh yeah, journey15, if you are using a GPS, use the physical address and not the coordinates. I think this is the CG that my GPS put me across the lake on because I used the lat/long coordinates! The address is TWIN LAKES (SC), 140 WINNEBAGO TRAIL, PENDLETON SC 29670.

Mr. Camper - I checked the website and they are still open. This CG is pretty far inland - right on the Georgia line.

You might also want to think about that location being closed due to flooding. Remember South Carolina was hit real hard from the hurricane two weeks ago.

Since the pix in your signature is a motorhome, I assume you will need a fairly long site. There are some at Twin Lakes that are too short. We have camped there many times in a fifth wheel - good CG.

Sites 36 - 46, except 37 which is a double site, are good - close to the water, good view. 34 and 35 are higher in elevation - above the water, but good sites. They are close to each other. 35 is probably the best view so you won't have to look at someone in 34. 30-26 are good also, but check the length on recreation.gov. Site 47-53 are pretty good, but not as good as the first mentioned. Site 12 is backwards, site 10 is not level at all. 2-5 are tight together.

I didn't make notes last time I was there on the others, but to the best of my memory, 86 - 94 are pretty good, with a good view, and 65 - 68 have a good view of the beach area.

Check the length of the site before you reserve - some are short in this CG, but they are noted on line.
