The Antlers is a good place for a burger. Tell them you want to hear the boat whistle and look at all the things hanging from the walls and ceilings. It is Sault Ste. MI on the road to Aune Osborn CG.
diff'rent strokes, I guess. we found The Antlers to be over-priced, poor service and mediocre quality.
X3 - the_silverbackExplorerOn the way there, go up the west side of the lower peninsular. Ludington, Manistee, Frankfort, M22,Sleeping Bear, Traverse city, Petoskey are all great stops!!!!
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIDa Yoopers Tourist Trap and Museum can give you some laughs. Of course, we were last there about 25 years ago so it might have changed.
http://dayoopers.com/ - dodge_guyExplorer IIYes we really loved Munising Tourist Park Campground. They now have FHU on the Lake. We loved walking the beach in the evening with the sunset. Pictured Rocks is beautiful. And definitely take a sunken boat tour.
A little info. We went the first week of July and it was cold! It was lower 50's the 4 days we were there. The last day actually warmed up to 62 deg!!!! I was checking and the week after we were there it was upper 80's. I've since read the Warner weather is usually late July and August. Next time I go it will be he first week of August. And I will rent a boat to tour both pictured rock and the island. - rk911Explorer

an enthusiastic X2 on all of that. one word of caution...if you go to Whitefish Point wear long pants and a longsleeve shirt. the flies are nasty and they bite. - DrbolaskyExplorerTahquamenon Falls (we used the "Toonerville Trolley" from Newberry/Soo Juction to get to the riverboat and on to the Falls).

I like Copper Mountain State Park at farthes point north. MC Clain State Park west of Houghton is nice. Nice State Park at Baraca. The locks are great. Nice park at Cedarvile east of St Ignaus. Traveling west a nice park at Gladstone.. Should not be mush traffic yet.
I'm guessing that you meant Fort Wilkins State Park in Copper Harbor instead of Copper Mountain. I agree that it is a great spot to camp.
