Anyone have any information regarding Kodachrome Basin State Park campground?
  • Kodachrome is a lovely campground with some sites having electric. Nice hiking in the area. Depends when you're planning to go - it gets very hot in summer.

I've been there a number of times. The campground has some sites with full hookups, some with none. It often fills - they take reservations through Reserve America...

Lots to see & do in the area, and great night skies:

Some great pic's --the STAR's and the Red Rocks are the things you NEVER forget.

    Thanks for sharing,
  • Went there in April and loved it. Beautiful country and a short day trip from the Bryce Canyon area. We were staying in Panguitch and it worked great.

p.s. Love the night picture from the area, some of the best stargazing around.
  • +3 on the night skies. Drive down to Grosvenor Arch. Some cool slot canyons not far from there.

  • Great mountain bike trails (not too hard), great stargazing, not far from Bryce, slot canyons nearby, and these weird sandpipes -- for scale, note person (DW) standing at the base:

  • We took a day trip to Kodachrome this past June while staying at Bryce Canyon. Beautiful place. CG looked good.
    Some pictures of our visit.
  • Try doing a search on kodachrome and you will see some post reference your question.
