That sounds like a safe way to do it too. I've been RVing for 30 years and have always stayed at Walmarts, or any other strip shopping center lot that I can when travelling, including when in the whole state of Florida. Pompano Beach, Sarasota, Ft. Meyers, Gainesville/Ocalla, Tallahassee, and Pensacola. I spent over a week at a Walmart right across from Universal Studios amusement park, and never had a bit of trouble while enjoying the sights around Orlando, FL. Several days and nights were spent at a Marriot Courtyard Inn's parking lot too, so I could more easily catch the shuttles to the attractions. I've never had a problem once I pull the drapes and turn-in for the night. I love to travel where it's convenient to be located when travelling too.
