A snowbird is someone who takes a trailer full of northern dollars and haul it one to two thousand miles south and leaves it to help out their southern friends.

They seem to blow it pretty fast though, so we have to do it at least once a year. Sure do wish they would become more responsible. Don't know how long I can keep affording it :B

I've been heading to the LTVA's in Arizona & California for the last couple of years - ever since the last February I spent in upstate NY when I had to shovel my roof!

I spend my winters in west central Alabama and my summers in Panama City Beach, FL. Yes I know this is south in the summer. I have been trying to be a snowbird, but I'm think doing it backwards or 180 degrees out of sync.

Something to work on I guess.

I was just telling my wife today: If it didn't get so hot here in the Florida Keys in the summer I would live here all year round.
Nothing is better than wearing a bathing suit and paddle top every day for six months.

that is what makes a "snowbird"

I think you're qualified to wear the snowbird badge. And, you married a very wise man. ๐Ÿ™‚

When my husband retired, he announced he was never living anywhere he couldn't wear his shorts. Since we live in Central Illinois, that necessitated some lifestyle changes! First a sailboat in the Caribbean and now a travel trailer - currently headed west in Southern New Mexico... Guess his shorts lifestyle makes us snowbirds? ๐Ÿ™‚
