Whats the status of NEW RV Park in Medford OR?

I was very happy to hear Medford is getting a new RV Park next to the Fairgrounds.
Whats the status? When will it be open? Any links/ photos/ etc?
Looking forward to using it.
Medford really needed a nice and new park just off the freeway in my opinion.

Another question. Whats the status of Walmart next to Costco?
Can RVers still park there overnight?
They posted the Walmart in Klamath Falls. No more RV overnight. Sad to see.
Just wondering if Medford Walmart was the same?
Looks like a leading trend for all the Walmarts everywhere in USA. Too Bad...

THANKS....

We tried to get RV camping with hook ups during the music festival. The lady told me over the phone $3500.
That includes tickets. But seemed like a lot.
We did get VIP ticket plus parking. Will just drive everyday.

That was probably their super luxury type package where they bring you all your meals and drive you back and forth to the venue. I think that is the only camping with hookups.

The regular camping pass was still expensive, $300 if I remember right. I bought it last summer.

We went to all three at Cape Blanco. It is nice to have a place to go between acts or if there is one I'm not into.

I stayed there a couple months ago for 3 nights. Not many others there and it was very quiet.

I did have muddy feet after setup since there was only dirt between spots. Sounds like that has been remedied.

I have tickets and a camping pass to music festival. They actually moved it from here on the coast so they could fit more people. But it was just rows marked in a field for dry camping.

On the local news last night they said that the country music festival has rented all the expo grounds and that includes the RV park, the dates for the music festival are July 27 to 30th, 2017
Here is the expo site clicky

Thanks..
I will have to check it out.
As like you said, the nicest park in the area.
Plus real convenient and next to the I5 freeway.
A real PLUS for the area!

Park is open and we have stayed several times. Is a very nice park and will soon be filling up often as is the nicest park in the Medford area. They now have most of the landscaping completed and that will make it great. Last time I stayed no landscaping and was a muddy mess. You can reserve spaces on line and believe is $8.00 reservation fee. Clubhouse and office is still not completed. Very nice walking trails around the park.
Great Place

Mike, I thought the TV news said the new Costco was all approved? I'm over there 4 or 5 times a year and have noticed the same thing at Walmart, older RVs. There was list somewhere and I thought it said they don't allow over night parking at the Medford store.

My family likes the shopping there so a nice park in town would be good. I've stayed at Valley of the Rogue, but I know they would prefer to be closer to everything.

It has passed all of the hurdles so far, but there are still people saying that the traffic situation would be too much for the area. There were signs at the WalMart that you couldn't stay overnight, but I haven't noticed them lately, and there are people in there frequently. There was a WalMart going in a little closer to Central Point awhile back, but they killed that and put it back where the old one was. Therefore I am just keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the Costco. History hasn't been good for department stores in the Central Point area. We have gotten a few recently though, so the city fathers are loosening up.

On the 6PM news they said that Central Point has approved the Costco but two people are appealing it, so time will tell.
I to have notice more RVs parked at Wall mart and I didn't notice the signs that used to be their.

So... is the new Costco for sure? Or still just talk?

Closer, but still hashing it out. Heaven forbid that Central Point would get any form of shopping.

I have stayed in the Walmart a number of times for one night in Medford.
We usually stay in Phoenix at a RV Park when in the area.
A few staying at Walmart is going to ruin it for the rest of us I think.
Looks to me some local people live in their RVs, because sometimes I recognize same ones when I stay.

Looking forward to the new park.
