Where to stay in Branson Mo

We are planning a trip to Branson for the 4th of July. 4 adults and 4 teenagers (14-19yo) in a 35 ft Class C. We will not have a toad and would like to stay somewhere convenient to attractions. Possibility is to move once during stay, kids want to go to Silver Dollar City. Does anyone have a suggestion where to stay? Are there shuttles or buses around town? Should we plan on car rental? I have heard traffic could be a bear for the RV. Hopefully we aren't late for July 4th reservations.
  • x2 for Ozark Country Campground.

Almost all of their sites are very shady. Some have more privacy than others. Nice quiet campground.

Rent a vehicle for touring. Traffic is a bear I don't recall any any shuttle busses or public transportation when I was there in October.
  • We love Ozark country Campground. You can google it. No shuttle that I know of but I bet those teens would love this pool!
  • You really might want to rent a car. We've lived in Branson, and I honestly can't imagine seeing much of it without transportation.
  • The Wilderness Campground is closest to Silver Dollar City and they have a shuttle service to the park. This will save you the $5.00 per day RV parking fee. Make sure your air conditioner in the RV is in good working order. July can be very hot and humid. Even though you will see lots of tour buses in Branson, I would not do it in an RV. The traffic can be very busy and trying to negotiate the city in an RV could be very stressful. Musicland Campground is really close to the main part of town. You may want to move there after Silver Dollar City. Still, without a car there will be lots you will not be able to see.
  • Last year we stayed at "The Wilderness Silvar
Dollar City". Sites are rather tight but do able, a free shuttle to and from Silver Dollar City is nice.
  • We stayed at Musicland Kampgrounds and were close to the main area of Branson. It is within walking distance of shows shops and restaurant's. Nice and cozy park. It is right behind the Titanic on the main drag.
  • Search this Forum for Branson in the RV Parks section; much discussion.
  • We stayed at the KOA just off the strip and would again. They used to have a shuttle but no longer. And I don't recall seeing any other shuttles or busses running around, but I really was not watching for them. Touring Branson in the C would not be good. And if you plan on taking in any shows it would be very hard to park. Don't know about RV parking at Silver Dollar City.
