Wichita Falls, TX Campground

Looking for personal opinions from those that have been.
What is the best campground in the Wichita Falls, TX area you've stayed at and what made the campground so good?
I will be arriving Sept 15 and staying until mid Feb with my wife, son (1 y/o), and dog. I have a 36' (total length) travel trailer if that makes a difference for anyone's recommendations.

They have Arrowhead state park which is a good place to stay. It is on the southside of town and is pretty close to a Walmart and another grocery store. Check it out online!

Wichita Falls RV park is in a good location for the city of Wichita Falls. This was a mobile home park converted to an RV park. The sites are long and easy in with plenty of room. Wichita Falls had a severe water shortage in 2014. Since there has been more rain, maybe the water shortage has improved.

We have stayed several times at the Wichita Falls RV Park, never as a destination but as an overnight on our way to or from Colorado. For that purpose it has always been very good for us. It is an older park but the sites were level and hook-ups were fine. Plenty of room to walk with the dog.

It is on US 277 South, convenient but well away from the freeway traffic.

This would be our choice in Wichita Falls for an overnight stop. -- and if we needed to stay in the city for a few days I'm sure we would go here. That's our experience. We have not stayed in the "free" park beside the freeway or in any other park in town.

Thanks for the replies. I will be arriving September 15th, so I should miss the ride. The campground for base is over an hr away.
I've googled campgrounds and saw what's around, but it doesn't tell me if they're nice and worth while. I figured if people have stayed in the area before and could give me personal oponions about the campground(s) they stayed at it would give me a better idea than Google saying yes there are campgrounds and here are the names.
Prefer not to stay in a mobile home park. My list isn't a must have list - it's a description of what I have now at the campground I'm parked at. Something close would be ideal, but I know it's hard to find what I have.

**Edited original post to shorten it up and take away my preferences, so they're not confused as must haves**

Wichita Falls has a new COYOTE RANCH RESORT which is probably on the high end resort scale.

They also have a RV PARK down town...

I have forgotten what Sheppard AFB has but usually the bases have a RV spot for visitors...

There may be some great spots connected with the main lakes around Wichita Falls that almost went dry due to long drought but are alive and well now... Lake Arrowhead has a RV spot I think...

I would type in RV CAMPGROUND into google search maps and see what shows up around Wichita Falls...

X2 on the annual bike ride there. Even the local hotels are all booked up years in advance. If you was already in the hotel and had to stay into that time frame they would run you off haha... Been there done that already... One trip our crew had to sleep in the lobby over night as we was leaving the next day and had no place to stay the night haha...

With all the requirements your looking for, your best bet is an Mobile Home Park not an RV Park.

Don't know your timing but in 2 weeks is the biggest bike ride in the U.S. Is held there--The HotterNHell 100. So make sure you have a placed lined up if you'll be there then. Good luck.
