Good luck, we have stayed at Myrtle beach A LOT an the wind is ALWAYS there, almost anywhere in Horry county it is windy, you must remember you are right on the coast, even inland 50 miles it is still windy.. As for the temperature I suspect another month or so, should be constant 70ish..
Good news is the front will pass through in about 5 more hours for MB. The rain should stop, the sun will finally make an appearance and temps should hit the 70s. Probably take another day until the winds calm back to normal, but at Ocean Lakes you almost always have a wind.
Will be two or three more days until we get back to normal here along the SC coast.
We have been at Ocean Lakes since last Sun. We stop at Ocean Lakes every spring on our way back home. I have been coming to Myrtle Beach since I was a child. This is the coldest and most windy it has ever been while we have been here. I just looked at the forecast for this week and it looks like maybe Thurs. will be a little better. If we didn't have friends here, we would have already left.
We have had a weird week here in eastern Iowa too. Apr 30th it was 89 high and 65 low. May 2nd was 43 high and 33 low. West of us about 50 miles got almost one foot of snow. We still braved the weather and rain for a rally this weekend in the Amanas.
At M/Beach: Daytime temps are in the mid to upper 60s. Night time; last night 55. Right now at 9:30pm; 62 and very windy. I think normal daytime temps are mid to upper 70s this time of May.
