Winter or summer tires...hummm

I have these new Goodyear Wrangler winter tires that I would hate to burn off travelling across the south. But might be good to get past Salt Lake. My summer set are perhaps 50% worn. Would love to get south with them.
Hummm???
We are going mid January....weather permitting.

Humm. Somewhat yes. They are expensive and I'd rather not wear them off on the dry pavement.

Well that is true as they are quite aggressive. Noisier too. And I'm thinking reduce MPG.

Wranglers are great rain tires, have them on my Ram 4x4. Run them year around as it can rain year around.

Weather permitting, you will have dry roads all the way. Keep your summer tires.
