Yuma rv park

Looking for a park that might still have an opening for Feb. and March. Didn't think we were going but thins changed, now behind the 8 ball. Yes, I can start calling but there are sooo many parks in the area I thought we might try asking those that might know. THX TAND.
  • Try Cocopah RV and Golf Resort(728-343-9300). They have over 800 sites. We have been wintering there for 14 years.
  • We are at Fortuna De Oro & love it! 55+. Lots of activities from sports to dancing to cards, bingo & golf.
  • there are lots in the Fortuna
area that rent for less then the rv parks a month. all you pay is rent, water and electric
  • We are in Country Roads and have been for a few years. Big Park with all amenities including 5 pools. Over 55 park, all lots are owned but there is a rental pool. Check thru the office. Take a look, its great.

We stayed there last year and were put in a space on the fairway. A golf ball almost hit the truck while we were setting up. The permanent housing that surrounded us all had wire protecting the windows. The maintenance crew came by and put up an inadequate wire barrier to the golf balls.

We stayed one day out of our five day reservation. The risk of damage to the truck or trailer was not worth it.
  • Fortuna Del Oro, Shangri-La, LaQuinta, Carefree Village, Sunset Palms, Adobe, Sun Ridge, Gila Mountain. Just a few. As you know you are looking at "prime time', but there will be openings do to medical, kids "won't let them go", etc. We have been here since 9-13 and get in several parks and some report "full' but it is at certain times. And like a previous poster stated about RV lots out here in the Foothills. No end to those rentals. Right now most owners are looking for a 5 month deal, but give it to the end of November and into December and no takers, they usually will go to Plan B. Also look at Yuma Craig's List under Vacation Rentals. I sure wouldn't fret about it, as there will be openings, just might not be where you want to be.
  • Caravan Oasis has finally done some much needed renovations. We have stayed numerous time and will be back with our friends for 2 weeks after Q. Carefree Village and a few others were already booked 3 months ago when we called. Jan and Feb is getting hard to find a place unless you book way in advance. Good Luck and have fun.
