Zion recreation pass

We have the senior pass for the national parks. Does it cover the cost of the recreational pass required for entrance to Zion?

If you are going to enter Zion through the tunnel your senior pass does not cover the additional cost for this.
If you are in a MH or driving a dual wheel truck or just pulling a trailer they stop the traffic from both lanes and ask you to drive down the middle of the road through the tunnel.

It would be better to enter from the west side.
Its not only the tunnel but the sharp winding curves from the tunnel to the bottom of the canyon.

Senior Pass discount on camping fees may not be applicable if campground is operated by a concessionaire, depends on the contract. Might be worth the effort to research individual campgrounds in advance.

Your Senior Pass allows you and everyone in your vehicle access to every National Park and generally all other federal recreation areas. It also gives you a 50% discount on camping fees at National Parks, Corps of Engineers parks, and generally all other federal recreation area camping fees. It does not provide any benefit for any specialty fees such as parking at Mount Rushmore or escort fees for the tunnel at Zion National Park.
