Zippel Bay Campground MN

Hello all,

We were late to book a site anywhere in Canada for the Canada Day long weekend, so we're heading south to enjoy the weekend. We've never camped in any US State Park campground.

I understand MN has restrictions on Firewood. Is there anywhere nearby or around Warroad that we can find certified firewood to use? Hate the thoughts of small potato sacks for $6 each at a gas station.
  • As an alternative to gas station firewood, there may be homes/properties just outside the park that will have better quality firewood. Many of these will have a sign posted at the edge of the road advertising.

As a side note, we spend a lot of time in the state parks, bring our own certified wood and to date, no one has asked about the firewood we do bring. But I always have my certified paperwork with me, just in case.
