It would be very helpful if the options for sorting posts also included: "Sorting by newest reply.".
We don't require more information about the reply. This should be an easy fix.

I'm trying also, but this place is so sad now.

Hate to see you go way2roll, but I agree. The forum seems mostly dead. I'm really just hanging out now because it kills time during lunch.

I'm done. I tried to hang in here but there is literally zero value in this site anymore. So many helpful members are gone. It's so sad. The fact that over 90% of posts are responses to decades old topics, and then despite those new responses bring buried in the threads, the resurrected posts bubble to the top of the sort. It makes absolutely no sense and confuses and frustrates everyone. There is no other forum I've seen that does this. Add to the fact that this site has no support, it's just an orphaned mishmash. I really tried to hang in there, but this has just become a total time suck with no redeeming value. So sad. I loved the old forum. It had it's issues. but at least it was engaging, fresh, lots of activity and tons of great information. Used to be you could ask a question in the morning and have an answer by lunch from a dozen people. Totally ruined. The way it was handled and rolled out is a lesson on how NOT to make these kinds of changes. My guess is that's why all the mods and tech support are gone. And despite numerous complaints, many of which was solicited by GS itself, there is no response. Isn't anyone on GS paying attention? I mean what was the purpose? Rant over. See ya guys. Happy travels.

So far, RV.net is trailing Facebook for actually being usable.

I agree it would be helpful if we could find out that there is anything in the works. I know long time posters are still reading from time to time as they do occasionally post. But I think they are just not finding a benefit to actually posting regularly because the forum is so confusing.
Like why insert a response into the middle of a thread that is dated 2014 so we see a post dated 2014, responded 2024, posted 2014, 2014, 2014? It just causes confusion.

I know the mods are volunteers and I appreciate that. I think there's actually only one mod left. Is there any insight into someone actually paid to work on this site or is it truly abandoned? Why would you put the effort into a forum, ask for feedback and then ghost the whole project? If there are enhancements in the works, why not communicate that. From a PR perspective this is shooting yourself in the foot.

Say it louder! It would be great if they clarified what/if they plan on trying to save it or just let it go (just like other Goodsam products).

I realize this coding change has "A snowball's chance in Hell", but it is one that would help the most right now.

You are correct that it makes no sense but it seems like the old posts must add some advertising revenue to the site. On the other hand, old posts are about all you will find on here because the site has been abandoned. The powers that be decided to make the site look like something other than a forum, possibly to drive people away so they will not have to maintain the site. All conjecture but if you listen carefully you can hear the drum roll in the distance.

It's not quite that bad. Some of us here are still finding new posts and replying to them.

You can choose Newest First, but you're correct in that this forum is almost impossible to figure out and operate like a normal forum should. Sometimes the newest reply gets buried down in the thread somewhere, I don't even bother trying to click through multiple pages looking for the newest dates anymore.

haha ya thats my issue also, some one replies to a comment on a 10 year old post, the board doesnt highlight the thread title, but moves it up, then it doesnt take you to the reply and you have to search if you even realize there is a new post if you do the board like I do, I don't use the newest post sorting, I do forum by forum for the ones I am interested in.. I don't care about the midwest forum posts so I don't look at it for example.
