Added some DIY drawers for improved organization

Nice work! Had to laugh towards the end at the 3:320 mark where you said 'now that we have nice drawers' Glad you didn't show me your drawers, don't think the wife would like that hahahaha

Excellent work! I've added a few shelves but see all kinds of places where drawers would be nice...and I got a pocket hole jig for Christmas a couple years ago! :)

You definitely have the mad video skills going! Seriously, the way you shoot and compile the videos is great, no hemming and hawing like some, right to the point, and everything is visible.

Those drawers should serve you well. Nice work!

BTW, if you need drawer hardware, PM me. I still have about 1K knobs and pulls, new in factory packages. I got crazy one day and bought a hardware store's whole collection. What I have is Liberty hardware, the Brainerd brand.

Thanks! I seriously love the pocket hole jig. It worked great for placing hidden (well, somewhat hidden in this case) screws.

Thanks for the kind words! I think the videos are getting better for sure and can see a real difference when looking back at the older ones. We're having fun with them, but I'm still pretty slow with editing, etc. I think my raging ADHD has something to do with the quick and to the point style. I do worry about not including enough detail, but I don't really worry about it much;)

I'm actually in the planning phase of some shop cabinets I'll need hardware for. Once I figure out what I'm doing I'll PM you to see what you have. I did the same thing at an auction with my dad a few years ago. We ended up buying the entire fastener isle of a hardware store that was going out of business. My son will eventually pass some of these nuts and bolts on to his son.

Sure, let me know when you get around to the shop cabinets. I'd be glad to donate to the cause. Us shop rats have to stick together, lol. I'll keep your fastener collection in mind for that special metric left hand threaded bolt with a collar, I'll probably need. :B

I think the videos are good. There is a big contingent of DIY'ers on Youtube that must like there voice or likeness too much. They drag the process out and give too much comment on the bits and pieces. Yours are just about right for me, clear and to the point with enough footage to see the whole process.

BTW, I built this Super sled awhile back. It is really useful.

I'm the same way. I like them short and sweet. Not too much fluff, but I try to find a happy medium of detail without going overboard. I personally like the Jimmy DiResta style of speeding through the process with minimal dialog, but people keep asking for more details. I think this is about as detailed as I'll get with my videos. Well, not including the few seconds of humor here and there.


VERY NICE sled. I just added that link to my favorites. My current sled is too small, but it's dead on. I have a Rocker table for the drill press and love the t-tracks with hold downs and can imaging in's even more useful on a table saw sled.

Yeah, the Eagle Lake guy has some good videos, too. Check out his blind tenon video. It's a masterful way to join some lumber. I think it's in the bed project but it's been awhile.
