I do what your looking for but a little different than most.
My converter runs and is fused, my washer/dryer, microwave, and believe it or not, the water heater (not my design, its a Fleetwood thing). Also the TV center. Everything else is fused through a breaker panel.
I split my 110 feed to the converter and put a male/female connection there.
Normally 30 amps is all I need but if I'm going to run the AC's (I have energy-management system) I will split the connection and run the converter to its own 20 amp circuit on the pedestal.
