Another peel and stick back splash job

I figured we need to see another tile job ๐Ÿ™‚ Good rainy Saturday afternoon project, had the tiles for awhile but finally got around to it. Did not like what we saw locally so we ordered these on Amazon, seemed like good quality product. Very easy to install if you follow the instructions and prep work. It went fairly quickly as I probably spent about the same amount of time pulling and re installing the hood, valance, blinds, and the window frame. Wife is very happy. :C

Yes, about 6 screws, definitely better that cutting around it.

Sidecar & Coolmom, I didn't need any special prep really for the walls themselves as we never cook on the stove as we cook everything outdoors. You simply will need to make sure it is clean and dry and remove any grease, etc from the walls. I did a little testing with a piece of scrap from the first piece on whether to scuff the walls first or leave them as they are, it didn't seem to matter either way. I took time to rub my finger thru all the overlapping joints as they are a little recessed. After I was done I re caulked along the counter and used a j- roller to ensure they made good contact.

Looks very very nice.

I'm glad you went all the way up to the cabinet. That looks much better than some I've seen that stop a few inches below the cabinets.

What surface prep did you have to do?

Is there any special prep or just make sure the walls are clean and dry? I get cooking vapor on the walls all the time. Looks like a needed upgrade for me.

Looks like the type I installed over 3 years ago. Still sticking strong even in HOT 110 degree outside temps while stored and through below freezing weather in winter. This is a winner upgrade in my book. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
