Bunk "ledge"

Back when we owned our TrailCruiser hybrid which had Jack 'n Jill beds this was my solution.



I cut a piece of 1/8 inch Masonite board to size and simply slipped it in between the mattress and bed side rail. To use, my son would climb into bed and slide the rail forward to the position shown ... to exit, he'd simply slide the panel rearward out of the way.
