Cabinets

Tried this one other time and could not get it to work, so we will try again. Added a new cabinet to the toy hauler. Figured we could always use the extra storage on our trip out west this year.

The framing with bulletin board.

Cabinets minus the doors.

Finished.

May not be the fanciest cabinet, but it seems to be fairly sturdy. Wont try hanging from it, but should hold what I have to carry.
  • You could always strengthen the cabinet for weight-holding by installing a brace from the top of the cabinet behind the face frame to a ceiling rafter. The two nailing strips you have behind the cabinet may be enough to hold all but the heaviest of cabinet stuff.
Nice cabinet, BTW, looks factory new to me.

Actually, that is exactly why I did not go all the way to the ceiling. Since my toy is a H-D street bilke, there are a lot of "soft" items that can be place above the cabinet. Chaps, sweat shirts and tie downs come to mind.

Since most of these items (tie Downs) will be in use when traveling, there wont be a chance of them falling and either breaking something or hitting some one. Can also use the area for storage of bath towels, kitchen towels and the like.

Since this is only a 26 ft. box and under 30 ft.(29'10") overall, I figured every inch of storage space would be a benefit and also be put to good use.
