disability scooter in basement

I have a outdoor kitchen in my class A. Im.seriously considering
removing it, and using the space to carry a disability scooter. The scooter weight is about 250 -300 lbs. My concern is the kitchen is on a slide that moves out of the slideout would this be too much weight?
  • Did you consider a carrier for your RV or Toad?

I bought one of these at Harbor Freight for my MIL's scooter. They work great and has never given me any problems.
    Just another option.
  • I would assume that 99.9% of the time the scooter will be on the slide as it is retracted and it would not be as big an issue as when the slide is out with the scooter on it with its weight being leveraged for a short period of time. but the mfr. of the RV should be able to give you some advice.

  • We carry our disability scooter in the back of the Jeep we tow. That way we don't have to move it around when we unhook.
