Is there anyone out there who has been creative enough to figure out a replacement seals for factory installed seals?

Purchasing them from outlets is expensive.

We have rubber garage door seals but don't know how to attach to rv frame.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

Thanks

I had to replace some of the seals on my Pilgrim 5th wheel. Pilgrim went out of business in 2008. Believe it or not I purchased some of them through Amazon and found another one I needed on eBay. The most important part is getting the correct dimensions. Once you've narrowed that down a little searching will yield a lot of results. A little bit of research and I found exactly everything I needed for a very reasonable price.

I just replaced my seals. Bought replacements from factoryrvsurplus.com. My seals are two piece, a wiper seal with a track that a separate bulb seal attaches to. The wiper seal was fine but the bulb seal needed to be replaced. The bulb seal was $3.50/lf and I needed 27' so not the end of the world $$$ wise. The wiper seal is much more expensive at $6/lf and a much bigger hassle to replace.

Old Biscuit, did you have a link to go with your message? Wondering who sells the seals that will work by the foot! :h
PS... I sent old Biscuit an email asking if he could edit his post to include a link as I'm curious about his source!

These folks supply seals for MFG. and sell to the public by the foot.

Using the correct seal results in proper sealing.....no water leaking in.

Not so with 'make shift' seals.

Do it right......once!

Unless you use the correct seals for your slide, you will be back here on the Forum asking how to repair water damage from a leaking slide.
