door keeper

I keep having problems with my door keeper that holds walkin door open. They get stretched and don/t work. I know they don't cost much but today I did a ZIP TIE MOD to mine and works great. It keeps just enough tension for door to stay open :B

Neat idea...but I gotta ask. Why don't you just replace it?

I have replaced twice but they don't hold the shape from the sun and stretch. I can replace the zip tie much faster ;)

And besides that, this way looks MUCH better than a new one ! :W

I use one of these magnetic door stop/catches. Has been on my trailer for the past 3 years.

You beat me to it. I use those at the house. They're great. I get them at Home Depot.
  • If the wind is really strong and from the right front of the trailer it will pull it loose. I just hook up my old keeper in those situations. Doesn't happen often. The magnetic one is mounted just above the old one and the magnet is quite powerful.
