Generator - Low cost - quiet - 3000w?
Going off the grid this weekend. Running fridge off propane. Don't need much else. 12v for lights is fine. However - it may hit 93 a few days. So got me to thinking of generators. From reading I think...

By now I am sure the OP is don'w with his boondocking trip (if he went) and if a bear was in the area, I'm sure they left after hearing a construction generator running ;)
In any case, renting to try out was a very good suggestion. You can do a conversion to the Champion to use an external boat fuel tank and a quick disconnect to hook it up, so long running time is not an issue (other than checking the oil)

If I switch over to a travel trailer, this will be the route I take.
