HD Video Replacing Our Broken Carrier Roof Air Conditioner

Click here to see: MotoVlog Replacing our Roof A/C Unit - HD Video

We shot some HD video while replacing our broken Carrier rooftop air conditioner with a new Coleman Mach III. We used the Coleman to Carrier conversion kit which allowed us to keep our old wireless remote to control the A/C and heater. It took us about 4-5 hours but was really not to complicated. The hardest part was getting the new A/C unit on top of our 5th wheel.

(Caution: This is an entertainment video, not a how-to)

Have a great weekend!

  • Well....
I don't really mind the motorcycle footage but I think most folks would like to see the installation of the AC full screen and narration of any nuances along the way rather than the distraction of the scooter ride.

Heres a tip for 'ya that may save some body parts: Instead of using the ladders as a step ladder, extend them so the tops are above the surface you need to reach and climb onto. Also, using a rope to lower or raise weight from above is safer than handling it in midair standing on a ladder.

  • Thanks for your input and how-to/safety tips. Its really more of an entertainment video, rather than a how-to video. Although we have shot some other topics in a how-to format. We are still working on our video formatting, to see what works well and doesn't.
  • You lost me with all the little MC stuff. There are lots of better video's of AC replacements on Youtube where you can actually see how to do it without the fluff.
