- 7ofusExplorerBy far the cheapest solution is to tell her there are monsters under her bunk. Make noises a few nights and she'll never get close to the edge.
Of course it might cost you later for her therapy. - Opie431ExplorerVelcro

in my defense, my edge of the mattress had lost its firmness and the wife reported that when I was gone she had slept on my side and had also fallen out. :)
took some plywood and other boards between mattress and springs to cure that. :)

Does she fall out of her normal bed at home??????
I understand the concern. But she's 10! She is likely to take offense to a baby rail!!!
I've fallen out of my normal bed at home. didn't feel too good. I would hate to imagine if it was 5-6 ft in the air. Actually slept in a bed in France that was about 3-4 ft off the floor. didn't measure the height but had to get a running start to get up on it. slept all night clutching the covers to avoid falling out.

And yes, for whatever reason, many hotels (and homes?) in Europe has REALLY HIGH beds! I've stayed in Luzern/Lucerne and Zurich a few times and same thing there. If rails were needed to keep people in bed, I think the trend would start over there!!! - BumpyroadExplorer

- gaymeadowsmanExplorerI think the KISS method would be to place a couple of body pillows under a fitted sheet length wise at the edge of the side of the bed.
Even if you had to use a full fitted sheet on a twin bed for it to fit, when she out grows the falling out stage, she will have a "snuggle pillow.
I saw a post on Pinterest where a woman did this with a Large pool noodle to keep a baby on a bed. - DB_CooperExplorerI used to make a wall of duffel bags - I can't believe I didn't think of using the curtain until just recently.
