Kind of adhesive?

Newly applied vinyl pin stripping will not adhere in a few spots. Cleaned the area well with acetone, but the stripe still refuses to stick. What type of adhesive should I use to make it adhere without damaging the stripe? I tried a contact cement that is solvent based and it wrinkled the stripe. Any suggestions? Thanks, as usual.
