I would highly recommend finding 5050 LED panels for anyone doing light conversions. They are SIGNIFICANTLY brighter for the same size panel.

48 SMD 5050 Pure White 5.5w 590 Lm 58mm x 43mm

There is more than one reason for converting to LEDs. I did mine to reduce the battery drain while keeping the same level of light. The 1210 (3528) LEDs do that just fine. But I do have some 18-5050 cob leds since they fit in the fixtures better than the 36-1210 cobs.

X2 -- All our RV ceiling fixtures are coverted to LED -- two 48 SMD panels per fixture fit fine, and we have plenty o light in our RV. However, one difference -- I don't care for warm white, I use white. White is also brighter than warm white.

I used the 48 LED panels, cool white, throughout our TT and am very happy with them. They provide lots of light. I have now converted two TT's and two different TV's, and personally, my wife and I always use and much prefer the cool white over the warm white -- to each his own.

This is the ebay seller here I got mine from, but there are many sellers to chose from. I always buy mine on ebay -- great prices and I have had very good luck with them.

I've purchased a few from Amazon, but mostly I've been happy with those I've bought from this company:

Take tenear's advice. Good seller he linked to. I got 10 panels from this seller on Ebay for a project to light up the inside of some deep and dark pantry cabinets. If I recall, I got 10 panels for about $25. One note, they're shipped from China and take about 2 weeks.

I should have given the Ebay sellers name: autosaver88 and they seemed to have the best price on the 1156 in warm white. $22.98 for $10, no tax or shipping chg and they're in the US. Some of my fixtures have double sockets and these put out plenty of light with two. I could use a bit more light in the single reading spots but didn't want bright white.

How about a link?

I just ordered the 36-1210 panels. I started with 10 and if we like them I will order more to finish the rest of the lights.

thanks for all the input

We purchased 10 of the Green Value LEDs, made by Ming's Mark Inc (China). These lights fit 1141, 1156, BA15S, and T25 base.

We have:
- 1 fixture with cool white (color temp: 6000-6500K),
- 1 fixture with natural white (color temp: 4000-4500K),
- 3 fixtures with warm white (color temp: 3000-3500K),

Each operates 8-30V, draws 3.24W, and puts out about 250 to 300 lumens.

The light output is similar to the original lights, generate very little heat, and use much less power.

We purchased through a local RV dealer at $10 ea. These lights can also be purchased through Ebay and maybe Amazon.

We like the round bulb as it is not as directional and very easy to install.

DW thought the 36-1210 panels over the bed were too bright. I put 24-1210 "pancake" ones in and she's happy.

M4products has great LEDs that are nearly identical to incandescent. Just replaced half my rig. They use a fraction of the power and run far cooler. They are regulated as well so they won't blow up if they are fed +14VDC.
