Mattress Ventilation Underlay

Recently discovered an underlay to provide ventilation under my mattress might be necessary to prevent mold. I will be living in my camper full-time through the seasons.

Curious on thoughts and if anyone has tips for a cheaper option or DIY other than the $120 products on amazon?

  • Just pick up a section of lattice from a home improvement store and cut to size. Just make sure, it's two layers (some plasitc versions are single layer). You want two layers so air can get past each section.

  • there are several expensive products made for it. THIS  is what I am going to try myself.  All the DIY options I found were skeptical at best and most would probably colapse after a ton of use.

  • What about some peg board and cheap 1x2 pine from Home Depot. Two sheets of 4x8 pegboard and 6 strips of pine would be just under $60
