new couch

Does anyone know where I would start looking for a replacement for the couch in our 5th wheel? It's only 62" wide and the hide-a-bed feature is the most unsleepable bed I have ever seen. If I can't find a decent replacement, I may just have to take the mattress out and lay it on the floor for the grandkids when they visit.

We have had this Jennifer SofaBed for about 4 years now. Have had many adults sleep over in it. It's 65 inches wide but has a very comfortable 6 foot long mattress that accommodates adults nicely. I've slept on it and I'm 6 foot.
The back comes off with just two bolts for easy access into the RV.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm 5'4" and I cannot sit on a futon comfortably. Most have a seat that is too long from back to front and to have my knees bent over the front I am no where near being able to lean again the back of the futon. Perhaps there are different sizes, but I have run into this in rental cottages and cabins that put futons in the living room. I would never have one as I just cannot sit comfortably on one.

Flexsteel. But they make the Lazy Boy prices look cheap.

Maryetta....I would check out Ikea. The closest one to you would be at Vaughn.

You will likely find something that will work very reasonable. Go online and have a peek.

A futon might work well and most of Ikea's are put together pieces so they will fit through the door.

Make sure you have correct measurements and take in consideration if it sits on a slide out.

We removed the handle on our recliner to get it thru the door. Luckily the handle was removable.

La-Z-Boy has a narrow twin sleeper - 54" wide and also this great looking Love Seat recliner - 57" wide . They also have several sleeper sofas that are a little wider than your present one, if you can make a little more room. They make some good stuff. One caveat - measure carefully to make sure what you buy will go thru the door. The La-S-Boy recliners have backs that snap out and can easily go thru most doors. Just check before you buy anything. Good Luck!

Our Outback came with an air mattress that seems to work well. It also came with two swivel chairs. My first stop home was the LazyBoy store for a recliner. Never regretted it.
