outside shower

I'm wanting to build an outside shower from PVC piping that is easy to store, sturdy and easy to operate for the grand kids to wash sand off before entering the camper. If any one has any designs or ideas I would love to hear and see them. Can't find a lot of information on the web. Thanks!

We use a half full 5 gallon home depot bucket to stand in with a big cup to rinse off. It's also a step stool, a seat, a tool tote, put some dirt in it and it's a tie down for the awning, etc, etc.

I use a 3 gallon spray pump that is made from black plastic, originally for spraying chemicals like weed killers and fertilizer. The black plastic absorbs the heat when left in the sun and when you pump it up you can get several showers without re-pumping. I use it when I camp at the beach with no hook ups. I use it for rinsing the salt water off after swimming and sand off the feet before going into the MH. No I never used it for it original purpose.

Another option could be a plastic dishpan left near the door. If the kids tend to get dirtier like mine, a storage tote is a little bigger and the walls are higher to catch splashed water. They have had no problems stepping in and out of it.

I do like the spray bottle ideas. That's one I haven't thought of.

X2. Best answer to solve the re-defined problem.

Don't know why you'd want to mess with a pvc pipe contraption for the simple task of rinsing feet. And do you really think that would keep unruly boys from spraying down everything in the area?

I'm not sure if you are asking for a free standing shower stall or just some means to rinse off the kids.
My first TT had a nice outside shower system but the second one didn't. On that one I connected short hoses to the hot and cold low point drains and those to a 'T' with a main on/off valve. I connected a 6' hose and hand held shower head from Home Depot to the valve. I regulated the temperature with the low point valves.

Yea, not looking for a bathing shower but something that would wash the sand off from the kids. I want to be able to control where the water goes. Boys with a garden hose will wash the sand off and will hose down just about anything within range of the nozzle. We have a exterior shower nozzle but its mounted on the back side of the camper and you would have to walk through dirt after rinsing off.

Place a dual hose bib on the shore water supply - you can attach a separate hose to be used for washing off the kids, dogs, and whatever. Started doing that when my "on-board" outside shower started leaking and I removed it. Easy peasy.

Plenty of campgrounds (at least here in the NE) don't "allow" use of outside showers because of the discharge to ground regs. Reality is, who doesn't wash off the kids sandy feet, pool chlorine, etc. before continuing outdoor fun or before going inside? However, having an obvious shower "stall" is an easy way to get a visit from the host/ranger/CG authority because of the obviousness.

I got a shower tent similar to this on ebay for $50. It was new.
Folds up like a tent and comes in a carry bag.

garden sprayer camp shower

I think this is great because the water canister can stay on the ground - no need to have a tree or post to hang it from.
