I went the most simplest way here...

My OFF-ROAD Camper does not have any extra storage space so when we get to the camp ground with CABLE TV connections I first add a TEE conncetor on the pedestal pole and run one RG cable to the trailer CABLE TV PORT and the I run a second RG cable from the second port and just throw this cable under my trailer.

Then when we get setup all I need to do is pull out the second TV from the truck and put on the picnic table or other small portable table up against the trailer wall. Work great...

I can do the same thing for RG cables form the inside of the trailer. I have the ANTENNA WALL PANEL that I installed to take the CABLE TV input from the camp ground or the OTA Antenna input from my outside antenna. This has the bedroom TV port on that is not being used so I can connect to here for my outside TV rg cable to hook to. This will alow me to watch TV form my outside OTA BATWING Antenna and inside TV setup at same time...

Just thinking out loud here have you looked into the swing out arm idea that could be mounted to the inside wall of the storage door on your trailer. This will not take up much room and when you swing the thin LCD TV back in it will not take up much room on the inside wall...

Nothing is sitting on the inside floor of the storage area...

This would be an ideal way to lock up the TV when the WX gets bad or you want to leave the area for awhile...

  • Here's our solution. We considered mounting to the trailer but ruled that idea out years ago. Why? Because the sun causes so much glare you can't see the screen. By leaving it completely portable, you can always get it relocated in a position without the glare.

This one has a flat mount (not an arm) so it can just be lifted off the bracket in the camper and brought outside. Lightweight television, easy to move around. And because it's the same one from our bedroom area, it takes no extra space.

I'll never mount one on the outside.

  • I mounted one on a swing up bracket in a storage bay. When up it's out of the way. We only need to take the chairs and patio mat out to swing it down.
