Please Review my Inverter and Charger Install

Hi,

Many inverters allow remote control. I'd use that option if you can. Inverters do "heat" under low or no load when ever they are on.

1,500 watts at 12v equals 125 amps. If it spikes to 3,000 watts that is 250 amps.

I have a 75 amp fuse and four gauge wire on my 400/800 watt inverter.

Nice platform for the charger. Did you make it? Cherry? It's a shame nobody will see it.

Wow lots of great input since I last checked! beemerphile1, I installed the suggested size based on #4 wire that the manufacturer instructions offer. Can you give a little more detail on your thoughts and what size you would suggest?

Also, yeah the issue with space, it is wide open all around EXCEPT I opened a hold in the wall to the interior so that the plug and toggle switch on the face would be accessible from the interior...there is a slight gap between the inverter and the opening, still though, maybe that's taking a risk. Thought about some kind of non thermal conductive caulk or something might be okee dokee since we'll not (150 AMPS!) be running a table saw on it, more like a little evening TV, a small coffee maker (900 watts for the 2 minutes it is on per cup), then perhaps the laptop or iPad charger from time to time. If the collective opinion is that is still going to cause a situation where too much heat is around the faceplate, I'll take the advice and do something different maybe, like moving it back in favor of a dedicated AC outlet from the outlets of the inverter.

Fuse is too small for the inverter.

Looks pretty good!
It'a not a bad idea to secure power wires. I've trained myself to get a staple or holder within 6" of a box or device. Your runs seem to be short but it's still not a bad idea, may save you some trouble if anything gets hooked between wires and devices.
