I have a small slide in the bedroom that requires a slide locking bar to hold the top against the seal (from factory) there is a sticker next to the slide button warning against movement until the bar is removed but I would like a more idiot-proof way of covering/locking the slide button until the bar is removed..Any ideas?

I put an outdoor outlet metal flip cover with a spring on my main slide.Like this Clicky

I used a clear plastic bar soap case with a hinged lid I got at Walmart for $1. Remove switch and detach the three wires. Cut hole in case, run wires they hole and reattach to switch. Screw switch with case back onto wall. Fits perfect with my switch, yours may differ.

Carlon E98GFCM was my part number you are correct.

Note: I had to remove some of the plastic from the top of the half that attaches to the wall to allow the slide button to fit properly inside the cover (pic).

I saw a good solution at an open house at our local RV dealer that was common to one brand (which I have forgotten). The slide switch was activated by a key. The key was attached to the slide locking bar. When the bar is in place you can't activate the in/out switch.

On my previous TT the slidelock had a string with a bright orange tag on it dangling so I'd have to be blind to miss it
