Steadyfast stabilizer install

Not exactly a DIY but I did install it myself.

I just installed this stabilizer on my new 34 ft 5th wheel.
I cannot believe how well it works. I would say it removed 95% of the shake.

It took me about 3 hours to install. Drilling into the frame is the hardest part.

The packaging and instructions are perfect. Each steps bolts/nuts are individually packaged and labeled. You don't have to dig through a big bag of parts to get what you need.

I realize there are DIY projects for this, but I don't have access to a welder and didn't have time to gather all the necessary parts.

Lesson learned: don't raise your landing gear so high that you hit the stabilizer bar with the spring-loaded plunger. Bent my plunger, had to put a screwdriver in the hole until I reached a camping world store to get a new one.

X2. Awesome product. I agree drilling the frame holes was the hardest part but everything else was easy. Mr. Hansom, owner of Steadyfast, was great at answering my questions and gave me his personal cell number to call if I had any questions.

This is not an anti-sway device. Its for when you are set up to keep the camper from moving around.
They assist your scissor jacks.
My camper moved around like crazy. Not anymore.

I bought my anti-sway lit from Harborfreight for $23.99- 20%, The only thing I did different was replace the screws that came with the kit (they were not-self tapping, I used fine thread bolts with locking nuts and also blue loc tight in the threads, I have a welder but took it to a friend with a mush larger one to weld the plate on the hitch. My last trip I was up to 80 at one point (I pull a Pop Up but no sway period. You are correct it makes a big difference.
